Job summary

Masranardi Produce is seeking a Lumper for a rotational shift, moving product with a pallet jack, while ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities include supporting shipping and inventory, reporting on performance issues, and maintaining a clean, safe dock environment. Strong English communication, team orientation, and flexibility are required.

Responsibilities

• Move product using a pallet jack and assist on the dock as needed.
• Provide timely feedback to Management on performance and procedures.
• Assist shipping and inventory departments with various duties.
• Address GMP, food safety or product staging concerns with management.
• Prompt stacking, lumping, and rebuilding of pallets/boxes.
• Identify pallets not meeting Mastronardi specifications (crushed, leaning, damaged).
• Keep work areas clean and free of debris and stray product.
• Assist with dumping product in/out of the facility in approved containers.
• Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine tasks.
• Record units moved on daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Carry tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return after use.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Job description

Rotational Shift: one week 3 days next week 4 days, 6 PM - 5:30 AM

Primary Function:

The Lumper will be required to move product with a pallet jack within or near work site. The Lumper will provide timely feedback to Management on performance and procedure issues. Must always follow company policies and safety guidelines always.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all emergency exit doors and fire extinguishers are free and clear of debris and/or obstructions.
• This position requires flexibility to work in various assigned work areas.
• Reports to and assist the shipping and inventory departments as needed for various duties.
• Report to and assist management with any issues that may be observed on the dock such as GMP, food safety, or unsafe product staging concerns.
• Prompt stacking / lumping / rebuilding of product pallets / boxes.
• Identify and elevate any pallets that visibly do not meet Mastronardi Specifications (crushed, leaning, damaged, or any visible product that appears to not meet Food Safety standards).
• Ensure work areas are maintained and left clean and clear of all debris and strayed product.
• Assist with dumping product in or outside the facility in company approved containers daily.
• Remove / apply and record product inventory tags as required.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments.
• Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages 70°F and occasional down to 55 degrees. The background noise approaches 70 dcbs
• Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending on a regular basis.
• Visual and audio sensory are needed regularly
• Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. consistently throughout the day.
