Job summary

Mastronardi Produce Ltd. in Livonia, MI seeks a warehouse associate for a Thurs-Sat shift and every other Wednesday from 5pm to 5am. The role focuses on accurate inventory movement and reliable warehousing operations.

Responsibilities

• Move product within warehouse and trailers using a stand-up forklift.

• Perform basic tag and paperwork functions with high accuracy to ensure pallet movement and food safety traceability.
• Maintain clean, safe and orderly work areas and equipment.
• Report any product quality issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Select/load/inspect/sort product per supervisor instructions.
• Assist in general warehouse clean-up throughout the day.
• Report safety risks to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and complete equipment checklists.

Shift: Thurs-Sat, and every other Wed from 5pm-5am

Primary Function:

The essential function of this position is to provide exceptional customer support through ensuring the accuracy of inventory movement and warehousing. Accuracy in both shipping and inventory are paramount.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Move product within warehouse and trailers using a stand-up forklift.
• Handle and maintain the flow of inventory in the warehouse.
• Perform basic tag and paperwork functions with high accuracy to ensure integrity of pallet movement and food safety traceability.
• Ensure all equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly fashion.
• Report any product quality issues immediately to the supervisor.
• Properly select / load / inspect / sort product per supervisors’ instructions / guidance.
• Assist in general clean-up of the warehouse throughout the day.
• Report to the supervisor when an inventory rack, piece of equipment, or anything else that may pose a safety risk to employees working in that area.
• Ensure safe/proper operation of equipment per company.
• Complete equipment checklists to ensure proper condition of equipment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift License required and related work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License or valid state ID and a recent eye exam (within 1 year).

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Ability to use a scan gun and calculator.
• Basic arithmetic and math (counting) skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.

Working Conditions:

• Work in a refrigerated warehouse.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Physical movement required: lifting, twisting, stacking, bending, squatting, reaching, stepping up and down.
