Job summary

West Fraser's Henderson sawmill in Texas is hiring for an entry-level general labor role. The Operator Apprentice position offers hands-on training with the potential to advance into more skilled positions, and cross-training across departments to build versatility.

The role may include forklift operation and collaboration across teams. You will perform diverse duties from lumber yard work to housekeeping, safety observations, quality checks, and equipment servicing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum age 18.
• Excellent safety record.
• Willing to work any shift.
• Capable of operating and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry level lumberyard duties and housekeeping tasks.
• Stack lumber and ensure smooth workflow.
• Work indoors or outdoors in all weather.
• Perform quality checks and safety observations.
• Operate equipment and report results.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the area.
