Job summary

Kirchner Building Centers, a family-owned lumberyard, is seeking a Material Handler/Yard Clerk to assist customers, load orders, and keep the yard organized for efficient deliveries.

Responsibilities include loading materials, operating a forklift safely, maintaining inventory, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Potential overtime and full-time hours are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong communication with customers, vendors and team members.
• Ability to manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and forklift operation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load materials into customers’ vehicles or onto delivery vehicles.
• Build loads and prepare materials for deliveries in a timely manner.
• Unload incoming freight.
• Safely operate forklift per OSHA and company standards.
• Schedule deliveries and keep yard organized.
