Job summary

Bliffert Lumber in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Yard Associate to keep the lumberyard safe, organized, and running smoothly. You will load/unload materials, prepare orders for delivery or pickup, and maintain inventory while delivering strong customer service.

The role requires a hands-on approach, safety-mindedness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in an active outdoor setting. Forklift experience is a plus, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building materials preferred.
• Ability to read measuring tools and perform basic math.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs in outdoor setting.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Forklift experience preferred; certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and team by loading/unloading materials and preparing orders.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and yard organization.
• Support deliveries and pickups with safety and efficiency.
• Operate forklift safely when required.
• Provide excellent customer service in interactions.
