Job summary

84 Lumber is hiring a full-time Warehouse Associate (Hot Shot Puller) in Tennessee. You will pull outgoing orders, unload and load materials, and help maintain a safe, organized lumber yard with forklift operation and adherence to safety rules.

The role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 7am to 4pm, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k) with employer match. Prior forklift experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one
• Must be able to periodically lift up to 80 pounds
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Responsibilities

• Pull outgoing orders and assist with loading/unloading
• Put up returns and restock as needed
• Care for/maintain equipment and keep the area clean and organized
• Monitor for shrink and discrepancies and report to management
• Operate forklift and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Coordinate with team to ensure on-time order fulfillment

The full-time Hot Shot Puller is responsible for accurately and promptly pulling outgoing and staging orders (fill-in and will-call). This is a warehouse associate position that acts as a material handler, inventory associate, and forklift operator. Other duties include:

• Loading and unloading freight such as lumber and/or building supplies.


• Processing and restocking returns.


• Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized lumber yard and caring for equipment.


• Shrink control.


• Forklift training, certification, and operation.


• Communicating delays or discrepancies to management.
