Purpose

Perform lumberyard related tasks involving physical labor at our warehouse located in Rochester, MN and at customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Operate hand and power tools of various types such as: drill, saw, air hammers, etc.
• Clean and prepare sites.
• Assist in maintaining tools and equipment: lubricate, clean, and repair.
• Able to obtain a forklift license through the company's training program.
• Wear proper dress attire. No shorts allowed.
• Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds regularly.
• Report truck maintenance issues to Yard Foreman or Assistant Yard Foreman.
• Follow directives of the Yard Foreman, Assistant Yard Foreman, and Branch Managers.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Yard Managers.
• Read and understand warning signs and labels on construction site equipment.
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintain site cleanliness by picking up and storing tools, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct work with integrity.
• Attend safety meetings and training sessions regularly.
• Retain instructions from Yard Manager.
• Take initiative in learning new tasks.
• Build leadership qualities both here and at customer sites.

Normal Daily Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
