Job summary

Ruffin & Payne Inc in Virginia seeks a Yard Personnel to assist customers in the lumber yard, pull orders and load materials onto vehicles. The role involves frequent lifting and moving of items.

You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance for heavier items and maintain safety at all times. Work hours are Mon-Fri 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional overtime. Benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, disability & life insurance and a retirement plan.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in the yard to pull orders and load onto vehicles.
• Check quantity and quality of materials on tickets to match order specifications.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow safety measures when lifting and carrying materials.
• Keep paperwork organized and returned at the gate.
• Keep buildings and grounds clean and materials neatly organized.
• Learn materials and locations to efficiently assist customers.
• Help load materials on delivery trucks and deliver to job sites.
