Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience preferred in lumber yard or warehouse settings.
• Ability to follow work orders, labels and shipping docs.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to surroundings.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move lumber, plywood, building materials, and other products throughout the yard.
• Load and unload delivery trucks, customer vehicles, and trailers.
• Properly stack, organize, and store lumber and materials in designated locations.
• Pull and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Verify materials and quantities against work orders, tickets, or shipping documents.
• Inspect loads to ensure materials are properly balanced and secure before transport.
• Perform daily pre-shift forklift inspections and report equipment damage or safety concerns immediately.
• Assist customers and drivers with loading materials when required.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including aisles and loading zones.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Assist with inventory counts and material identification as needed.
• Perform general lumber yard duties, including manual material handling, cleanup, and other assigned tasks.
