Job summary

84 Lumber is hiring a full-time Yard Associate in Amarillo, TX to act as a material handler and forklift operator, building loads for deliveries while keeping a safe, organized lumber yard and warehouse. You will unload freight, learn forklift operation, and communicate any delays to management.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime paid at time and a half and full benefits, including health coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Must be able to write simple correspondence and communicate clearly one-on-one.

Responsibilities

• Build loads for delivery and unload freight including lumber and building supplies.
• Operate forklift after training and certification.
• Communicate delays or discrepancies with management.
• Maintain lumber yard and warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
