Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Lumber Production Associate for a 1st shift position in Quincy, IL. Wage is $17.00 per hour, with a classic Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00am to 3:00pm and a potential for hire by the company.

Responsibility includes stacking lumber, maintaining flow on the line, pallet assembly, and safe operation of nail/staple guns, while adhering to safety and attendance standards.

Qualifications

• No formal education required; experience in manufacturing or lumber helpful.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Stack/unstack lumber and boards onto/off the saw feed belt.
• Position boards to support efficient production flow.
• Remove finished boards and stack in designated areas.
• Inspect boards for defects during handling.
• Assist with pallet assembly as needed.
• Operate pneumatic nail/staple guns safely.
• Move and stage lumber throughout the area.
• Keep workstation clean and organized.
• Follow PPE requirements and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with others to meet daily goals.
