Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Dudley, NC, is seeking a Machine Operator for the day shift at our lumber mill. You will operate lumber production equipment as part of a team to meet customer demands and production goals.

Requirements include at least 1 year of manufacturing experience or related work. Forklift experience is a plus. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a non-climate controlled environment, 12-hour shifts from 6 am to 6 pm.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience or equivalent work experience in related environments such as farming, construction, or carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Operate dimensional lumber production equipment with a team to meet facility production goals.
• Collaborate with operations, reliability, mechanical, and electrical staff to identify machine center deficiencies and resolve them.
• Learn preventative maintenance practices to maintain machine center reliability.
• Work in a non-climate controlled industrial environment, lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks for up to 12 hours a day.
