Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Machine Operator for our Dudley, NC Lumber Mill. You will operate lumber production equipment in a team environment to meet customer demands in a growing industry. Day shifts run 6 am to 6 pm on 12-hour cycles.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of manufacturing experience and are able to lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift experience is a plus, and you will work in a non-climate controlled setting with dust, noise, and heat considerations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Ability to perform 12-hour shifts.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Develop skillsets to run dimensional lumber equipment with a team to meet production goals.
• Collaborate with operations, reliability, mechanical and electrical staff to identify deficiencies and resolve them.
• Learn preventative maintenance practices to maintain machine center reliability.
• Work in a non-climate controlled industrial environment with physical tasks (lifting, walking, climbing, standing) up to 50 lbs for long hours.
