Job summary

UFP Grandview, LLC is seeking a general laborer to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements. The role includes moving, stacking, labeling, tagging, and securing materials, plus daily inventory and production record-keeping.

You will operate staple guns, troubleshoot equipment, and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with 18+ eligibility; lumber experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on type, size, and count.
• Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material, including corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements.
• Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
