Job summary

Pacific Supply is accepting resumes for Lumber Material Handlers with prior lumber, building materials, or construction material handling experience preferred. Candidates will primarily be responsible for loading and unloading materials in the yard, warehouse, and customer job sites.

Key duties include counting, reconciling materials, maintaining a safe, organized work area, and assisting customers professionally.

Qualifications

• Previous lumber yard or construction industry experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Knowledge of lumber products and handling practices is preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload customer and company vehicles.
• Safely handle, stage, and load lumber, plywood, engineered wood products, and other building materials.
• Assist with material handling in the yard and at customer job sites.
• Accurately count and reconcile incoming and outgoing materials.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
• Assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.

Candidates will primarily be responsible for handling, loading, unloading, and organizing lumber and building materials in the yard, warehouse, and customer job sites. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
• Safely handle, stage, and load lumber, plywood, engineered wood products, and other building materials.
• Assist with material handling in the yard and at customer job sites.
• Accurately count and reconcile incoming and outgoing materials.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
• Assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.

Job Requirements

• Previous lumber yard, building materials, or construction industry experience strongly preferred.
• Forklift experience required.

• Must have basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Distribution center or warehouse experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work effectively as a team member.

Candidates with lumber yard, construction supply, truss, millwork, or building materials experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
