A Piqua company is seeking a dedicated and skilled Lugger Truck Driver who can operate yard trucks & tractors. The driver must have a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for this full-time position with ample overtime opportunities. Compensation is $30 per hour, with benefits. Schedule: 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with local pickups and deliveries.

Duties:

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of containers.
• Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and incidents or delays.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with customers.
• Navigate the greater Dayton area effectively.
• Perform yard work.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Home phone or cell phone.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Your own transportation.
• A clean background with NO felony convictions.
• Ability to pass an employment drug screen.
• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record.
• Experience in route driving with knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
• Semi Roll-Off/Dump or Straight Truck Lugger and Roll-off experience.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
• Excellent time management skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred but not mandatory.
