Job Summary

The dish and general utility position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using both machine and manual cleaning methods. The role also ensures the dishwashing area remains clean, safe, and sanitary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Sort, rinse, and load dirty dishes into the dishwasher.
• Sort, stack, and transport clean dishes to storage or kitchen areas.
• Change dishwasher water every hour.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand as needed.
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Set up and break down dishwashing stations.
• Clean and maintain mats, soak tubs, and floors.
• Assemble/disassemble dish machines and handle sanitation solutions.
• Perform general cleaning of restaurant and restrooms.
