Job summary

FUCHS Lubricants Co. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a dynamic Lubricants Sales Engineer.

You will blend technical aptitude with strategic sales to drive new business development while managing existing accounts and delivering technical solutions. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the role requires travel 30-50% and a foundation in MRO oils with stronger consultative selling, strong communication, and teamwork in international settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 3+ years of experience in component design engineering is required.
• Solid knowledge of MRO oils and industrial industries is expected.
• Current MLT or CLT certifications or the desire to obtain within 6 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively develop business opportunities with existing and new accounts.
• Drive new business development by engaging at the corporate and design engineering levels.
• Establish new business through referrals and planned sales calls.
• Manage accounts and increase sales for assigned and new accounts.
• Develop customer strategies with National Sales Manager and Segment Leaders.
• Provide technical solutions and maintain knowledge of product portfolio.

Salary:

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 per year, as well as participation in the company's unlimited commission plan, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire's experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Your Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept individual to learn and grow as a Lubricants Sales Engineer with our team. This role, reporting to the National Sales Manager, requires a blend of technical aptitude, curiosity to uncover customer problems, along with strong organizational and project management skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new business development while managing existing accounts and providing technical solutions to our clients.

Additional Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Proactively develop business opportunities with existing and new accounts.

• Drive new business development byengagingat the corporate anddesignengineering levels of accounts.

• Establish new business through referrals and identifying potential future customers via planned and organized sales calls.

• Manage the business withassignedaccounts, committing to increase sales to these accounts and new accounts.

• Develop clear customer strategies working closely National Sales Manager and Segment Leaders.

• Develop alternative service concepts and value propositions for assigned accounts.

• Conduct ongoing market research to identify market opportunities and maintain knowledge of competitors.

Customer Engagement:

• Represent the company in regional industry events and tradeshows, collaborating with Marketing and other internal stakeholders to prepare for such events.

• Conduct onsite product training for clients through product presentations, hands-on interactions, and utilizing available product management team and field application engineers.

• Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of key accounts' worldwide activities, product portfolio, and applications.

• Represent customer interests towards the company and vice versa.

Travel:

• 30-50% travel required.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• Bachelor'sdegree in a technical field desired. (Chemistry, Engineering, etc.)

• 3+ years of experience incomponentdesign engineering.

• Solid knowledge of MRO oils and industrial industries.

• Current MLT or CLT certifications or the desire to obtain within a 6-month period.

• Interest insalesandaccountmanagement andclosing sales processes.

• Consultative selling abilities and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to identify new client opportunities and prospect accordingly.

• Identify opportunities to grow current accounts within the segment.

• Decision-making and negotiation skills, with the ability to work under pressure.

• Proactive, goal-oriented, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.

• Team spirit and ability to work in international teams.

• Proficiency in MS-Office applications and CRM (Salesforce desired).

• Ability to travel frequently on short notice.
