Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Lube and Tire Technician to join its CheckPointTire & Service Center in the Greater Springfield area. You will perform oil changes, tire mounting, wheel balancing, alignments, and related basic services with emphasis on safety and customer care.

Responsibilities include transporting customers, collecting parts, and maintaining shop cleanliness. A valid driver's license, 18+, and weekend availability are required; automotive knowledge is a plus.Competitive pay

Qualifications

Possess valid driver’s license.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.
A general understanding of automotive mechanics preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely transports customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
Operates company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws.
Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles following all guidelines.
Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
Performs oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
Maintains cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas.
