Job summary

Sterling Buick GMC in Opelousas, LA is seeking a motivated Lube & Tire Technician to join a family-owned dealership serving Acadiana. This role offers an entry route into automotive service with opportunities to grow into an Automotive Technician position.

The position features a Monday–Friday schedule with some Saturdays (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM), excellent benefits, and a pathway to develop skills through dealership training and hands-on work.

Qualifications

• Some hands-on experience performing basic vehicle maintenance strongly preferred.
• Automotive shop experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Coachable and able to take direction from senior technicians.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes following manufacturer specifications.
• Rotate, mount, and balance tires.
• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections.
• Identify potential vehicle concerns and report findings to service advisors or technicians.
• Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in all work performed.
• Follow all dealership and industry safety procedures.
• Complete required training provided by the dealership to continue developing your skills.

Sterling Buick GMC is looking for motivated Lube & Tire Technicians who take pride in their work and want to be part of a successful, family-owned dealership serving Acadiana.

This role is responsible for performing essential maintenance services that keep our customers’ vehicles running safely and efficiently. It’s also an excellent entry point for individuals who want to build a long-term career in automotive service and eventually grow into an Automotive Technician role.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday-Friday with someSaturdays (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

What You'll Do

• Perform oil and filter changes following manufacturer specifications
