Dartmouth Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Dartmouth, NS is hiring a Quick Lube Technician to inspect and lubricate vehicles according to policy and to perform light mechanical work such as tire and battery replacement. The role offers full-time hours and an hourly wage of $18.00–$20.00 CAD with no bonus.

You will perform oil and filter changes, multi-point inspections, tire services, and communicate with parts and service staff to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information

• High level of integrity and work ethic
• Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using power tools and hand-held equipment
• A valid driver's license and a safe driving history

Responsibilities

• Perform Oil & filter changes
• Sell lubrication, safety inspection, & related services
• Perform multi-point inspections and present findings to the Service Advisor
• Replace oil and air filters
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels, replace or replenish as necessary
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
• Tire mounting/balancing, rotations and repairs
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor
• Document all work performed on the repair order
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by the service manager
• Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean
• Notify the Service Advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle
• Keep the shop area neat and clean
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Report any safety issues immediately to management
• Other tasks as assigned
