Job summary

Austin Industrial seeks a Machinery Lubrication Technician Level 1 (MLT Level I) in Freeport, TX. The role performs lubrication, contamination control, inspection and proactive maintenance on lubricated mechanical systems, with field duties and coordination of inventory.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills and good team building skills.
• Capability to work in an unsupervised position effectively.
• Capability to read and interpret technical documents, such as OEM Maintenance plans and Advanced Lubrication Technology instruction and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inventory and routine ordering of products.
• Stock inventory locations and maintain lubrication supplies.
• Use tools and equipment for routine lubrication tasks.
• Drain and clean reservoirs and modify systems to enable sampling and filtration.
• Change filters and breathers on reservoirs and grease relubrication systems.
• Maintain dispensing equipment and automatic systems and label assets.
• Update scheduling systems and request work orders for maintenance.
• Perform field level oil analysis and interpret results for future maintenance.
• Report discrepancies or conditions requiring approved maintenance actions.
