Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, is hiring a Lube Technician for IMC Treasure Valley in Idaho. Responsibilities include inspecting diesel vehicles, lubricating moving parts, checking fluids, changing oil and filters, and inspecting belts/hoses for wear.

You will use maintenance software to create work orders, schedule PMs, and document repairs. A valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements is required; GED preferred. Safety-minded and team-oriented applicants encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and reassemble equipment with hand tools; inspect parts for damage.
• Assist other maintenance staff to ensure efficient vehicle operations.
• May work in shop, yard, or on job sites; perform DOT inspections and brake adjustments.

Position Overview

Duties and responsibilities include inspecting vehicles with diesel engines and making sure that all of the moving engine parts, as well as any other moving parts in the vehicle, are lubricated with grease or other recommended lubricant. You also check vehicle fluid levels, change oil, replace oil and air filters, visually inspect belts and hoses for signs of wear, and inspect for other repairs that may be required.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance (change oil and filter, lubrication, coolant, and fuel).
• Analyzes malfunctions and report the need for further diagnostics or repair to shift lead or shop foreman.
• Operates and inspects vehicles equipment to diagnose defects.
• Dismantles and reassembles equipment using hand tools.
• Examines parts for damage or excessive wear.
• Use computer-based maintenance software to create work orders, schedule PMs, and document needed repairs.
• Perform general cleaning of work areas and maintenance areas.
• Assist other maintenance department staff in performing the duties necessary to assure the efficiency of operations of vehicles.
• May work in the shop, yard, or on job sites.
• Ability to perform DOT inspections and brake adjustments.
• Perform and maintain fluid analysis program.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• Must possess a valid state Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with both Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.

CARRYING - awkward parts and equipment up to 50 lbs. for 50 feet or more

HIGH LIFT - of up to 50 lbs. floor to shoulder

AWKWARD LIFT - of up to 35 lbs. shoulder to away from body

FLEXIBILITY- awkward reaches

BALANCE - including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces while carrying.

VISION- 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions

HEARING - corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions from coworkers
