Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a Lube Technician to inspect diesel vehicles, ensure proper lubrication, and perform routine maintenance and inspections across shop, yard, and job sites. You will also monitor fluids, replace filters, and assist with diagnostics.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, a high school diploma or GED, and a safety-minded, team-oriented work style. Physical duties may include lifting up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning of work areas and maintenance areas.

Position Overview

Duties and responsibilities include inspecting vehicles with diesel engines and making sure that all of the moving engine parts, as well as any other moving parts in the vehicle, are lubricated with grease or other recommended lubricant. You also check vehicle fluid levels, change oil, replace oil and air filters, visually inspect belts and hoses for signs of wear, and inspect for other repairs that may be required.

• Assist other maintenance department staff in performing the duties necessary to assure the efficiency of operations of vehicles.
• May work in the shop, yard, or on job sites.
• Ability to perform DOT inspections and brake adjustments.
• Perform and maintain fluid analysis program.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• Must possess a valid state Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with both Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.

HEARING – corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions from coworkers
