Job summary

Grand Junction Subaru, part of Sonic Automotive, seeks a Lube Technician in Grand Junction, CO. You will perform lubrication services efficiently while coordinating with the Production Foreman and Service Advisor.

Pay is $16.00 to $18.00 per hour. We offer training, growth opportunities, and a benefits package. Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment checks are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Able to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform all lubrication services.
• Check the customer’s car and refer repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment.
• Receive repair orders and service lifts.
• Lubricate entire car and identify additional repair needs.
• Keep the customer’s car clean.
• Ensure lifts and equipment are in proper working order.
• Use materials appropriately and safely.
• Follow all safety policies and report accidents.

Pay Scale consists of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $16.00 and $18.00.

Job Description

The Lube Tech will be responsible for lubricating cars in a quick, yet thorough manner, and for carrying out his responsibilities through coordination with the Production Foreman.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all lubrication services.
• Perform thorough check of customer’s car (i.e., battery, lights, tires), referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain all lubrication equipment.
• Receive repair order from either the Service Salesman or the Production Foreman and proceed to service lift.
• Lubricate entire car while looking for other items which may need repair.
• Ensure that the customer’s car is kept clean.
• Make certain all equipment is in proper working order, especially the lifts.
• Use adequate, but not excessive, amounts of materials and supplies.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Preferred:

• ASE Certification and/or trade school certification.
• Subaru (or multi) brand experience.
• Strong work ethic and thrive in fast paced environment
• Ability to follow directions, willingness to learn, and mentor teammates.
• Respect for teammates and positive outlook.

Required:

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
