Job summary

Taken 5 Oil Change is hiring in Las Cruces, NM for a customer service associate who will assist with basic maintenance and oil-change related services. The role emphasizes a stay-in-your-car, hassle-free experience and welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds.

Training is provided, and the team focuses on friendly, efficient service. Pay ranges from $13.15 to $18.15 per hour, with weekend shifts possible and in-person work requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with automotive oils and basic fluids.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced retail/auto-service environment.
• Willingness to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Drain motor oil and replace oil filter.
• Grease chassis fittings and adjust tire pressure.
• Inspect and top off fluids.
• Assist customers in selecting oil type and services.
• Deliver excellent customer service verbally and in writing.
• Process payments for services performed.
• Perform coolant exchanges and fill services.

Responsibilities

• Drain motor oil, change oil filter, grease chassis fittings
• Wash windshield and adjust tire pressure
• Inspect and top off fluids
• Assist the customer in selecting oil type and other services
• Deliver excellent customer service both verbally and written
• Process payment for services performed
• Perform coolant exchanges and fill services
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
• Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of oils and services
• Must maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit used to position yourself safely under cars
• Work involves walking, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, holding, grasping, pulling and turning for extended periods
• Ability to work in hot/cold weather conditions
• Always be alert and aware of your surroundings
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to communicate with the public
• Need reliable transportation
