Job summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a diligent Lube Technician to perform routine maintenance and oil changes across various vehicles. You will ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction while maintaining safe work practices.

Responsibilities include oil changes, fluid replenishment, tire rotations, inspections, and clear communication with customers about recommended maintenance and upcoming needs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a lube technician or similar automotive maintenance role preferred.
• Completion of a technical or automotive training program is a plus.
• Basic mechanical skills and understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Excellent customer service and communication with customers and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes per manufacturer specs and dealer standards.
• Inspect and top off all vehicle fluids including coolant and brake fluids.
• Rotate tires, balance tires, and check tire pressure; advise on wear.
• Conduct basic vehicle inspections; report findings to service advisors.
• Explain services performed to customers and provide maintenance recommendations.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of service bays, tools, and equipment; report issues.
• Assist other technicians to support efficient workflow and quality service.

Role Summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lube Technician to join our service team. The Lube Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and oil changes on a variety of vehicles, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

More about the role

• Perform oil and filter changes on vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
• Inspect and top off all vehicle fluids, including coolant, brake, transmission, power steering, and windshield washer fluids.
• Conduct tire rotations, balance tires, and check tire pressure, advising on tire condition and wear.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections to identify potential issues or maintenance needs, reporting findings to service advisors or technicians.
• Communicate with customers to explain services performed and provide recommendations for additional maintenance.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of service bays, tools, and equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions.
• Assist other service technicians and team members as needed to support efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

What we look for

• Previous experience as a lube technician or in a similar automotive maintenance role is preferred.
• Completion of a technical or automotive training program is a plus
• Basic mechanical skills and a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with vehicle maintenance.
• Familiarity with automotive tools and equipment, with the ability to learn new technologies and systems.
