Job summary

Moran Automotive is seeking an automotive technician in Sterling Heights. You will perform routine maintenance, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections while following safety standards and dealership procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of automobiles and basic mechanical skills.
• Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
• Willingness to learn new technology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Rotate tires, check tire pressure, inspect tires.
• Perform multi-point inspections per dealership standards.
• Use lifts, tools and shop equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Complete assigned work efficiently with high quality.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance
• Perform tire rotation, check tire pressure and inspect tire condition
• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections according to dealership standards
• Properly use lifts, tools and shop equipment while following all safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience at a dealership is a plus
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
