Job summary

Jiffy Lube / Lube Management Corp in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Lube Technician to start a career in a fast-paced team environment. The technician ensures customers receive timely, professional service and maintains a safe, pleasant shop atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to customers following procedures and standards.
• Assist customers in preventive maintenance decisions.
• Drain oil and replace filters.
• Check and replace automotive fluids as directed.
• Talk to customer and begin initial service requests by entering information.
• Make recommendations to customers based on manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Complete sales transactions when needed.
• Assist with advertising.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and EPA standards.
• Keep the facility clean and maintain shop and property.

Job Description:

The Lube Technician position is a great place to start your career at Jiffy Lube. It’s a fast-paced team environment and the Lube Technician is the first step towards more advanced positions. The role of Lube Technician is to ensure customer receives complete service to his/her vehicle in a timely and professional manner and to maintain a pleasant and safe environment for customers.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities for a Lube Technician:

• Provide services to customers following procedures and standards as outlined by management for Signature Service and ancillary services including, but not limited to:
• Assist customers in making correct decisions for preventive maintenance needs
• Drain oil and replace filters
• Check and replace automotive fluids as directed
• Talk to customer and begin initial service requests by entering information
• Make recommendations to customers, explaining additional services based on manufacturer’s recommendations
• Complete sales transactions when needed
• Assist with advertising
• Understand and comply with OSHA and EPA standards
• Clean facility as directed to maintain the cleanliness and general repair of the shop and property
• Be available to work temporarily at nearby locations
• Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or Jiffy Lube documentation
• Other duties as needed

Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic computer skills
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Exposed to outside weather conditions
• Work in and around potentially moving vehicles
• Frequently required to stand and walk
• Dress and grooming standards
