Job summary

Feldman Automotive in New Hudson, MI is seeking a motivated Lube Technician to perform routine maintenance on customer vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations, plus basic services.

You will document work, follow dealership standards, and communicate with the service advisor to keep customers informed. Training and career growth are offered in a team-focused shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair order following dealership standards.
• Drain oil and replace filters; ensure proper oil level.
• Inspect and replenish vehicle fluids; check tire pressure.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Maintain a clean, safe shop and manage tools properly.
• Assist senior technicians and inform Service Advisor of needed services.
• Provide time estimates for additional repairs.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Lube Technician to join our team. As a Lube Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on vehicles, such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and other basic services.

Responsibilities:

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair order following all dealership and factory standards
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil; replace oil and air filters
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Keep shop area neat and clean
• Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Work along side seasoned technicians to continue growing your knowledge of the brands we service
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Punctual and reliable
• Basic computer skills
