Job summary

The Hutchinson Auto Group seeks an Automotive Lube Technician to support preventive maintenance and service quality for customers in our Macon, Georgia stores. You will learn through hands-on training and gain exposure to multiple automotive systems, with potential for growth in the broader service department.

You will perform oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and basic diagnostics while maintaining safety and dealership standards.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and improve.
• Entry-level qualifications; diagnostic and engine repair preferred.
• Good physical dexterity and teamwork.
• Strong communication and customer service.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair order following dealership standards.
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill; replace oil and air filters.
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replenish as necessary.
• Check tire pressure and inflate as needed.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Keep shop area neat and clean.
• Maintain accountability for dealership tools and manuals.
• Operate all tools and equipment safely.
• Perform repair work per order with efficiency and in line with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair systems: engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C.
• Inform Service Advisor of additional services needed.
• Estimate time for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty per manufacturer specs.

Responsibilities

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair order following all dealership and factory standards
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil; replace oil and air filters
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Keep shop area neat and clean
• Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications
