Job summary

Hutchinson Automotive Group in Macon, GA is seeking an Automotive Lube Technician to support preventive maintenance and basic repairs. You will learn automotive systems, perform oil changes, filter replacements, tire checks, and assist on diagnostics while ensuring customer safety and vehicle reliability.

The role emphasizes training, teamwork, and professional growth within a family-owned dealership that serves the Macon area and surrounding communities. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Entry-level qualifications; diagnostic, electrical and engine repair preferred.
• Ability to work with tools and a team in a fast-paced shop.
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Document and perform work per repair orders following dealership standards.
• Drain oil, replace oil and air filters, and check fluid levels.
• Check tire pressure and replenish air as needed.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to verify repairs.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, brakes, A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional services.

Job Summary:

As an Automotive Lube Technician, you will help drive the continued successby providing reliable and impeccable preventive maintenance service. Through vehicle maintenance and inspections, you will help tokeep customer'svehicles serviced and safe on the road. You will be offered training to advance your knowledge of automobiles and what it takes to keep them safe and operational. Responsibilities

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair order following all dealership and factory standards
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil; replace oil and air filters
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Keep shop area neat and clean
• Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
