Job summary

Mark Porter Auto Group in Ashland, KY is seeking a dedicated Lube Technician to join our service team. You will perform oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-offs on various vehicles while upholding our commitment to quality and safety.

You will inspect tires, participate in multi-point safety inspections, keep a clean workspace, and clearly communicate findings with service advisors to help our guests understand their vehicle's needs. Prior shop experience a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Punctuality and a reliable work ethic are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform efficient oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-offs on a variety of vehicles.
  • Inspect tires for wear and tear, ensuring proper inflation levels.
  • Conduct multi-point safety inspections to identify potential mechanical concerns for our customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency in the service bay.
  • Communicate findings clearly with service advisors to ensure our guests understand their vehicle's needs.
  • Follow all safety protocols and equipment operating procedures to protect yourself and your teammates.

Previous experience in an automotive shop environment is a plus.
