Job summary

Park Place Motorcars Fort Worth is seeking a Technician Trainee to join the team and train toward becoming a service technician. Candidates should have automotive exposure or be enrolled in an automotive program, be at least 18, hold a valid driver’s license, and pass background and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• Prior automotive experience or enrollment in an automotive program.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet MVR policy requirements.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (background and drug test).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist Team Leader/Trainer in shop procedures while training toward Certification.
• Inspect vehicles and discuss issues with Team Leader to determine repairs.
• Plan work procedures in cooperation with Team Leader/Trainer.
• Maintain dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation.
• Attend weekly department meetings and follow all safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Must be able to drive and operate vehicle
• Perform the procedures with the assistance of Team Leader and/or Trainer while training toward Certification. (See Technician Job Description)
• Examine vehicle and discusses with the Team Leader the nature and extent of damage or malfunction
• Plan work procedure in cooperation with the Team Leader and/or Trainer
• Maintain strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation
• Able to obtain State Inspector’s license
• Adhere to dress code in accordance with dealership and/or manufacturer standards
• Keep work area clean and tidy in accordance with dealership standards
• Know and understand the Client Concern Resolution (CCR) process, and utilize the program to achieve client satisfaction
• Know and understand the Park Place Privacy and Information Security Policy, and adhere to its requirements
• Attend weekly department meetings
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for three or more hours at a time
