Job summary

The Mundy Companies, a leader in maintenance, services, and construction, seeks an Industrial Lubricator for the Victoria, Texas area. Expect 4 x 10's with overtime as needed and a role focused on lubrication, oil management, and equipment maintenance.

Candidates should have at least three years of related experience in petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing settings and be able to pass safety and craft qualifications. The company offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and replace automatic grease dispensers.
• Monitor and maintain oil levels in critical equipment.
• Lubricate dryer bull gears; maintain graphite lube blocks on dryers.
• Utilize portable oil conditioner (filter cart) per oil sample results.
• Monitor oil filters on gearboxes and replace as needed.
• Assist with off-loading of bulk oil to area storage tanks.
• Collaborate with operations to resolve issues for reliable equipment operation.
• Write up equipment needing repair and document findings.

Job description

The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a long‑term position in the Victoria, Texas area.

INDUSTRIAL LUBRICATOR

4 x 10's + OT as needed

Successful candidates will have a minimum of three (3) years of continuous and current experience in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor & replace automatic grease dispensers
• Monitor and maintain oil levels in critical equipment
• Lubricate dryer bull gears
• Maintain graphite lube blocks on dryers
• Maintain and utilize portable oil conditioner (filter cart) as dictated by oil sample results
• Monitor oil filters on gearboxes and replace them when pressure differential dictates.
• Maintain oil transfer equipment for emptying and filling equipment
• Lubricate rail car progression system wire rope cables
• Maintain vibrator oil reservoirs
• Perform vibrator and air cannon repairs
• Manage area inventory of lubricants and auto greasers
• Provide response as needed to address deficiencies identified by the plant oil sample program
• Write up equipment needing additional repair
• Document completed duties and findings
• As needed, change oil in area equipment to ensure PM compliance. Examples may include pumps, gearboxes, centrifuges, centrifuges, etc.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance to resolve issues to ensure reliable equipment operation
• Repair/replace lubrication labels, containers, grease guns, etc.
• Assist with off-loading of bulk oil to area storage tanks

Physical Demands

• May involve work both indoors and outdoors, as well as in extreme hot or cold weather conditions.
• May spend most of the work day standing on feet, and require bending, stooping, and/or squatting.
• May require working in cramped and uncomfortable conditions.
• May be required to climb about machinery and climb ladders, scaffolds, and catwalks.
• Must be able to wear respiratory equipment when required.

The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required.
