Job description

McNeill Chevrolet in Swanton, Ohio, is currently looking to add a Lube Oil Filter Technician to our team! The day-to-day duties of this role include performing a multi-point inspection, changing oil, filters, tires, and wiper blades. Start your career path from Lube Technician, to Service Technician, to GM Certified Technician here, & grow your career with us.

This full-time position is a 5-day workweek, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, with NO evenings and NO Saturdays. Experience is not required, but general mechanical knowledge is preferred. Starting pay range is determined by experience. Tools are provided. Hourly pay with bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform multi-point inspections
  2. Perform video inspection
  3. Change oil, filters, and rotate tires
  4. Repair or replace tires, wiper blades, air filters, and batteries
  5. Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
  6. Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools
  7. Have a positive attitude and be team-oriented
  8. Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly
  9. Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
  10. Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
  11. Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed
  12. Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates
  13. Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
  14. Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
