Lube Technician duties and responsibilities

Lube Technicians are the face of a vehicle servicing company, facilitating maintenance and repairs on vehicles for customers as they come into the shop.

Tire Technician Responsibilities

• Draining the oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specifications.
• Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid.
• Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues.
• Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications.
• Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers, and batteries.
• Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings, and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing.
• Creating detailed service reports for customers.
• Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health.
• Recommending appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tires.
• Repairing punctures and replacing faulty valves.
• Installing new tires.
• Balancing tires and completing.
• Cleaning the shop, taking out the trash, and cleaning bathrooms.
