Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety rules and SOPs.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment per GMPs.
  • Communicate with co-workers and supervision.
  • Use MES navigation and enter data (cheese sample results, cage load & unload tracking).
  • Operate Wonderware HMI to control conveyors.
  • Safely operate pallet jacks.
  • Load/unload blocks from brine cages to conveyors.
  • Retain cheese samples for testing to identify changeovers.
  • Monitor and clean brine filter banks.
  • Stage and store packaging materials.
  • Inspect product and packaging for quality.
  • Prepare label machines for labeling products.
  • Assist RapidPak operator with loading/handling.
  • Maintain area cleanliness and good housekeeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Leprino Lubbock is seeking a Processing Line 2 Team Member. The Processing Line 2 Team Member is responsible for monitoring block product lines, supporting product inspection, addback, efficient block production operations, and continuous uptime.

All other duties as assigned.

This position pays $21.35 per hour. There is an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6 pm and 6 am. Weekly pay.

Job Duties:

  • Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations, and work in a manner consistent with safe operating procedures according to applicable company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Properly clean and sanitize all equipment following good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
  • Communicate effectively with co‑workers and supervision.
  • Use MES navigation and perform computer data entry (cheese sample results, cage load & unload tracking).
  • Navigate and operate conveyor controls through Wonderware HMI.
  • Operate manual and electric pallet jacks safely and proficiently.
  • Load and unload blocks from brine cages, and onto block conveyors.
  • Retain cheese samples for testing to identify change overs and chemistry.
  • Monitor and clean brine filter banks.
  • Stage and return packaging materials in production area and warehouse storage.
  • Inspect product and product packaging to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Prepare label machines for labeling products as needed.
  • Assist RapidPak operator with product loading and handling.
  • Maintain cleanliness of area, good housekeeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Open availability to include night shift.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend basic English language.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to perform mathematical functions.
  • Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to maintain clean work area according to good manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to complete written reports, and enter data into and pull data from computer systems.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment and comply with all applicable safety practices.
  • Good communication skills to communicate with co‑workers and oncoming/outgoing shifts.
  • Ability to work any shift, weekends, holidays and possible overtime.

We Hope You Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Six months of work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience in machine operation and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • This position will be exposed to an operations environment including both wet and dry production areas with loud noise and varying degrees of temperature from freezer to extreme heat.
  • Bending, squatting and climbing of steps may be needed occasionally.
  • Specific vision may be required, including close vision, distance vision, color and depth perception, and the ability to read computer screens for extended time periods.
  • Continuous moderate physical effort with the employee being able to lift cases of product weighing thirty (30) pounds and ingredients weight fifty (50) pounds.
