This position is responsible for assessing and determining eligibility for a variety of in-home services that would benefit individuals at risk of having to leave their own homes and providing information and referral services to the public and family members about aging and community resources.
The applicant may have any combination of training and/or experience that enables the incumbent to possess the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the required job duties.
The applicant may also qualify with a preferred bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, health, or a related field, if the coursework is applicable to the entry-level position.
This position is eligible for Veterans' Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
