Job summary

Muhlenberg School District in Muhlenberg Elementary Center is seeking a Certified/ Elementary teacher to foster a nurturing learning environment for students in an elementary classroom. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in elementary education.
• PA Certification pre-K-4 required to teach K–4 in PA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district standards.
• Teach core subjects - reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
• Utilize a variety of instructional methods, materials, and resources to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.

• Monitor and evaluate student progress on a regular basis.

• Prepare report cards and conduct parent-teacher conferences.
• Promote social skills, emotional well-being, and positive behavior.
• Identify and support students' individual needs, referring to specialists when necessary.
• Work with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance educational outcomes.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and curriculum planning.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, concerns, and successes.
• Provide resources and strategies to support learning at home.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in elementary education.
  • PA Certification pre-K-4 required. The candidate must be certificated to teach K - 4 in the state of PA.
