POSITION: LTS BCBA Clinical Coordinator
August 2026-January 2027
Shrewsbury Public Schools is accepting applications for a Long Term Substitute Board Certified Behavior Analyst Clinical Coordinator, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year and lasting until January 2027.
We are interested in candidates who are invested in the achievement, equity, and access of all learners in and beyond the classroom.
The daily rate for this position is $280. This is a non-benefit eligible position.

This position reports to the Director of Counseling and Mental Health and is aligned with the clinical department. The primary function of this position will be to utilize and implement effective research-based practices to enhance the district's educational programs.
Performance Responsibilities:
Provide direct clinical consultation for identified caseload of students across the district experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Conduct various assessments (behavioral, skill, functional, home) to help direct programming.
Participate in team consult and parent clinics as necessary to provide training and clinical support to team members (including parents).
Provide training to paraprofessionals in collaboration with special educators, school adjustment counselors, and school psychologists.
Provide behavioral support to student support teams regarding student-specific programming using research-based practices, including Functional Behavior Assessments and the development of Positive Behavior Support programs.
Work with the Director to develop consistent reliability, data collection, and accountability protocols to ensure the use of research-based practices.
Develop assessment protocols, criteria for direct service delivery (1:1, therapies, etc.), and criteria for fading of direct support services.
Participate in IEP meetings with parents, staff, and administrators as identified.
Support the district's efforts in developing, revising, and promoting workshops, training, and procedures for behaviorally related topics such as Functional Behavior Assessments, Prevention of Physical Restraint, Behavior Intervention Plans, etc.
Support training needs of the district by taking on the role of Safety Care Trainer.
Collaborate with teams to identify and implement interventions in the least restrictive setting.
Member of building Student Wellbeing Teams (SWT).
Provide behavioral support during student crises including utilization of verbal de-escalation, coregulation strategies, and physical as a last resort.
Preferred:
Master's degree in Special Education
Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Special Education teacher, Severe or Moderate License.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst Licensure
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
Experience working with students on the autism spectrum, mental health, and challenging behavior, etc. in a public-school setting.
Flexibility to attend evening meetings and provide late afternoon/evening in-home support through parent training.
Working knowledge of special education regulations/processes.
