Job summary

OneAmerica Financial seeks a LTD Claims Lead (CCU) to investigate and adjudicate complex long-term disability files, coach Examiners, and drive settlement options in a collaborative claims team.

This hybrid role may require working from our Indianapolis office with possible Portland, ME work-from-home eligibility; travel may be required to CA/IN/ME for team events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Long-Term Disability claims experience.
• Experience navigating claims systems and Windows applications.
• Recommend one or more industry continuing education certificates.
• High School Diploma required, or equivalent background.

Job Summary

LTD Claims Lead (CCU) is responsible for investigation and adjudication of complex Long-Term Disability (LTD) files within the group LTD department, as well as identifying appropriate LTD settlement candidates. Coaching and development of LTD Examiners in order to build organizational talent and maintain a focus on continuous learning within the claims department.

Primary Duties May Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Successful utilization of FINEOS claims systems to accurately process LTD claims and drive quality excellence.
• Build trust and collaborative relationships with LTD Examiners in order to foster growth and improve competency.
• Drive execution of our LTD Settlements goals by identifying and facilitating fair LTD settlement options for our customers.
• Efficient and effective utilization of internal and external investigative tools to protect against potential fraud.
• Identify and drive positive change using innovative thinking and having the courage to speak up.

Work Requirements

Required Work/Education Experience

• 5+ Years of Long-Term Disability claims experience required.
• Proven ability to navigate claims systems and Windows software application required.
• Recommend one or more industry continuing education certificates.
• High School Diploma required, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Salary Band: 04C

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. Candidates based in the Portland, ME area may be eligible to work from home, subject to business needs and evolving workplace policies. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team building and collaboration.

Consistent with applicable pay transparency laws, we disclose the compensation range for this position: $31.37 – $52.28 hourly. Actual compensation will be determined by factors such as education, experience, geographical location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for an annual incentive program.
