Job summary

JobRx, Inc. in Addison, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily LTC pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist.

You will enter prescriptions, prepare medications for dispensing, manage inventories, and assist with compounding per state and federal regulations. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, reliable, fluent in English, with a current state registration; CPhT and IV certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred
• IV certification preferred
• Fluent reading/writing/speaking English

Responsibilities

• Enter prescription and physician order data into the pharmacy system
• Pull stock bottles and prepare medications for packaging and dispensing
• Affix labels to medication containers
• Reconstitute medications as required
• Package and label pre-packaged medications
• Assemble and audit emergency kits
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding per regulations
• Procure and stock pharmaceuticals and supplies
• Assist with inventory management and cycle counts
• Support maintenance of pharmacy equipment and cleanliness
• Use pharmacy systems and Microsoft tools
• Assist with scheduling and delivery preparation
• Train new technicians and externs as assigned
• Support audit of patient records and quality initiatives
• Promote teamwork and patient safety
