Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc invites licensed pharmacists to join a high-impact long-term care pharmacy team focused on delivering personalized, top-tier pharmaceutical care to facilities and assisted living communities.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist with KY Board of Pharmacy is required.
Long Term Care experience is preferred.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
Must be multi-tasking and reliable.
Computer literate; knowledge of LTC frameworks (PLUS).
Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods with light lifting.

Responsibilities

Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and proper administration.
Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members about medication-related queries.
Supervise the preparation of medicines.
Make recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and client staff when necessary.
Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
Maintain customer databases with medical history and clinical data.
