Westchester Medical Center Health Network is seeking an Administrator to direct and coordinate all functions of the Nursing Home, implementing Board policies and serving as the decision-maker on operational matters.
The role requires five years of administrative experience, a Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred), and a NY Nursing Home Administrator license, with a focus on leadership, policy development, and infection control.
The Administrator is responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating all functions and activities of the Nursing Home. This position will implement the policies of the Board of Directors by serving as the decision making authority for the Nursing Home on all operational matters. Additionally, this position will make recommendations and develop policies and procedures for various activities of the Home.
Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience in a progressively responsible administrative position.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in management and health care.
Licenses / Certifications: State of New York Nursing Home Administrator License.
Other: If applicable, the individual performing this job may reasonably anticipate coming into contact with human blood and other potentially infectious materials. Individuals in this position are required to exercise universal precautions, use personal protective equipment and devices, and learn the policies concerning infection control.
Knowledge of Federal, State and Local codes that govern Nursing Home operations.
Ability to demonstrate leadership and administrative competence in a Nursing Home setting
