Job summary
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Long Term Acute Care assignment in Temple, Texas. This LTAC position runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour night shifts on a travel basis.
Requirements include active RN license, nursing degree, BLS & ACLS, and 18 months LTAC experience; familiarity with vents, Trachs, drips, EG tubes, and telemetry. The agency covers credentialing fees, housing options, and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Active RN license.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS & ACLS certifications.
- Eighteen months of LTAC experience.
- Experience with vents, Trachs, Drips, EG Tubes; able to read Tele-strips.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for 5-6 patients.
- Monitor and administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV).
- Educate patients and family on surgical processes and illness management.
- Monitor telemetry and interpret electronic displays.
- Care for patients with LTAC conditions and related comorbidities.
- Start IVs and draw blood; manage admissions and discharges.
