Job summary
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Nurse RN LTAC for a 13-week assignment in Durham, North Carolina. This LTAC RN will work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, caring for 5-6 patients with ventilator and telemetry needs.
Requires RN license, accredited nursing degree, BLS/ACLS, and 18 months LTAC experience. Travel benefits include housing allowance or housing options, health insurance for you and family, credentialing support, travel reimbursement, and 401(k) matching.
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Degree from accredited nursing program
- BLS & ACLS certifications
- Eighteen months of LTAC experience
- Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes and reading Tele-strips
- Other requirements determined by client facility
Responsibilities
- Provide care for 5-6 patients
- Monitor and administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV)
- Educate patients and families on procedures and illness management
- Monitor specialized equipment and interpret telemetry
- Record and communicate patient status to medical team
- Care for patients with COPD, HF, HTN, A-Fib and pulmonary issues
- Perform nursing duties in LTAC setting
- Start IVs and draw blood
