Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN LTAC for a travel assignment in Aurora, Colorado. This LTAC RN role requires caring for 5-6 patients on a 12-hour day shift, with a 36-hour workweek and a 13-week duration.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, a nursing degree, and BLS/ACLS certifications, plus LTAC experience and proficiency with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes, and telemetry interpretation.

Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certifications
• Eighteen months of recent LTAC experience
• Experience with Vents, Trachs, Drips, EG Tubes and able to read Tele-strips
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5-6 patients.
• Adjust and perform in fast paced environment
• Keep up with admissions and discharges
• Monitor and administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV)
• Educate patients and families on surgical processes and illness management
• Monitor specialized equipment and record telemetry
• Interpret telemetry readings and alert medical team
• Carry out duties of a registered nurse at all times
• Care for patients with LTAC conditions such as COPD, CHF, A-Fib
• Use computers to monitor vital information
• Start IVs and draw blood from start to finish
