Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for Long Term Acute Care in St Charles, Missouri. This LTAC travel assignment requires a valid RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 18 months LTAC experience. You will care for 5-6 patients on 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced LTAC unit.

The role includes housing support, credentialing coverage, and travel reimbursement, with 36 hours per week and a 13-week duration. Join MedPro for nationwide opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Active RN license.
Degree from accredited nursing program.
BLS & ACLS certifications.
Eighteen months of recent LTAC nursing experience.
Experience with vents, trachs, drips, ET tubes and able to read Tele-strips.
Other client facility requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide care for 5-6 patients.
Adjust and perform in fast paced environment.
Keep up with many admissions and discharges.
Monitor and administer medications (orally, subcutaneously, and through an IV).
Educate patients and family on surgical processes and how to manage their illness/injury.
Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and record and interpret electronic displays.
Interpret telemetry readings and notify medical team of irregularities.
Perform the duties of a registered nurse at all times.
Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF and A-Fib.
Use computer to monitor cardiac and vital info.
Start IVs, draw blood, see patient from start to finish.
