Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for Long Term Acute Care in Jackson, Tennessee. This LTAC assignment runs for 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on a night shift, combining travel nursing opportunities with clinical variety.

The RN must hold an active license, have at least 18 months LTAC experience, and be proficient with vents, Trachs, drips, and telemetry. Weekly pay, housing allowance, and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS certifications.
• 18 months of LTAC experience.
• Experience with vents, Trachs, drips, EG tubes and telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5-6 patients.
• Adjust and perform in fast paced environment.
• Keep up with admissions and discharges.
• Monitor and administer medications (orally, subcutaneously, IV).
• Educate patients and families on surgical processes and management.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret displays.
• Interpret telemetry readings and notify medical team.
• Perform the duties of a registered nurse at all times.
• Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, A-Fib.
• Use computers to monitor vital information.
• Start IVs and draw blood from start to finish.
